30 - 3 February
Week 4 was a workcheck on where I was standing and how I would like to continue from where I last from.
What kind of inputs am I looking for? A midi player? Synthesizer? microphone or even camera. Links below are input works that have been done before and works really well.
What kind of machine learning tools would I use in my projet?.
- Wekinator?
- P5JS?
- Tensorflow?
- Teachable Machine?
- ml5?
What external applications will I be using to make my machine learning more fun in a way?
- Touch Designer?
- P5js?
- Ableton?
- Max for live?
Things to take note when creating my workshops.
- Have a good planning before giving our workshops.
- What are the things I have to prepare before hand? Notes? Laptop etc.
- The contents of my workshop are equally as important to let user know what they will be doing.
- The context of the whole workshop.
- What are the objectives at the end of the day.
- What are the finding and the feedback I want to get from my users?
Some workshop that I research on that was conducted to do machine learning and I thought it might be good on how they plan their workshops. They explain really systematically on how you can conduct a good workshop for your workmates or random people in general who are interested in a certain topic. Hence I will break down important things that I took note of while reading through the blog.
Some footnotes: Ai generated, Workshop 3, teachable machine, Google Labs.
Important notes
⇀ "Staying up to date with new technologies is one thing, but understanding how to apply them is another."
⇀ "But as designers, we have an opportunity to be a part of the conversation around how these new technologies will shape the world around us—and in order to do that, we have to know how they work."
⇀ "How might we create a safe space to prototype, play with, and test new machine learning technologies?"
⇀ "Have experts in the room."
⇀ "Be persistent."
⇀ "Harness the power of collaborating within your community."
⇀ "The workshop structure sets the conditions for learning."
This blog gives out articles, books, examples and learning tools that you can get if you're interested in learning more about machine learning and deep learning.
They have an instagram page dedicated to a lot of AI project and also they will give talks on zoom and collaborting with different designers and engineers talking about how AI will change the world of designers. I also manage to get a change to join one of their live intagram feed talking about how AI changes the perspective and mindset of designers in the near future.
These are the links to different types of workshops that I look up to and followed along my next workshops.
